This is one of the most popular anime and manga out right now in both Japan and America. It's about a dedicated ninja named Uzumaki Naruto that's determined to become the next Hokage. There are exciting fight scenes and interesting story arcs, so let's hear what you think about either the anime or the manga or both! Who's your favorite character? How far are you in the story? What parts did you like best?


I'm one of those poor people who follow along with the English translated manga. I read Shonen Jump, so I'm fairly behind on all the excitement. I'm just barely to the second part or Shippuuden where Gaara gets abducted. The art has gotten better and Masashi Kishimoto made all the characters better looking. I like that.

My favorite character is Uchiha Sasuke, followed by Kakashi or Itachi. I guess I've got a thing for hair, because Sasuke's is just so nice. He's an avenger that is so set on his goal, he wouldn't even let bonds with all his friends get him off track. Some say he's cold-blooded and that he's a traitor, but I say he's too hot-blooded for his own good. Following your dreams is everyone's responsibility, so it was either deserting the village or deserting his dream and he is too strong for the second. Being so passionate about his goal made him that much cooler to me.

My favorite character in the anime is Naruto, he's loud, Funny, a pain at times, and always gets his a$$ kicked by women; if I think about it I have many of these samilarites. I'm new at this anime so I've only seen episodes 1-28. My favorite episodes is episode 4: Pass or Fail Servival Test, and episode 5: You Failed! Kakashi's Decision, two part episode Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke trys to pass Kakashi's test.
